TEXAS

11/06/03

I arrived back home just as the weather turned nasty. Not that I noticed much as I spent the next couple of day spending "quality time" with my mare Llovely Llady. LOL. (Hubba Hubba!)

Afterwards Mom packed me, and over forty of my old shelf mates, up to go to BayouLand Live in Louisiana. This was not my first Live show and I was excited to get to go. Mom was going to enter my Llady, brothers and I in a "Collectors Class" I asked if I would get another NAN card but Mom said this class was not eligible.

The day of the show Mom and I went around the room and visited with so many new friends. The show hall was packed and the classes were very large. It was great fun seeing all of the horses. During the lunch break Mom and a couple of friends set up the collectors class. All of us Llanarths were proudly displayed with my Llady and myself taking center stage. There were several entries in the collectors class with a great collection of black SR's right next to us.

I was worried because it looked like a really nice collection. This class was judged by the popular vote or "penney method" as everyone got a penny and placed it next to the entry they liked best. It was a close race between the black horses and us. The pennies were counted and the show holder, Kim, brought out the cookie (an award) and placed it next to us! We won! Yippie!!! By the way, the cookie tasted terrible, it was hard as a rock and had an icky chemical taste! I just took a nibble before spitting it out. Yuck. Mom did really well at the show too. She said I was good luck.

I spent a few more days in Texas enjoying being home. Now I am heading out to my next host in....... Minnesota. That sounds far away. Good, another adventure!
