later~   I don't know if it was the watta, the coffee or the company but the bagels were amazing. I cant wait till tomorrow morning to have another one. This time with something Jenn calls a "schmear"? I don't know what that is but as long as its on one of these bagels III eat it! (Ok...I know, this picture is not the most picturesque of shots but Jenn was being rather corny and in a "can did camera" kind of mood this morning. I'm really not thrilled with everyone knowing I dip into the java here and there ... but well, now you know)

After breakfast and coffee I was able to meet the horses. I was still nervous but my fears disappeared when I saw the most lovely dappled grey warmblood mare approach me and welcome me into the stables. She introduced herself as Olsa and escorted me to the main entrance. As I approached the main stable the horses all stamped their hooves and whinnied in unison at my coming. Oh what a feeling that was! Everyone was dying to say hello. They have such an odd way of greeting their guests. They rush up nickering and kiss you on the cheek. (I guess its an Italian thing.) I certainly enjoyed having all the mares rush up and kiss me but the stallions .... well, hmmm. I'm not that kind of stud but apparently it is just a greeting and I went along with it. They all had so many questions, but I just couldn't keep my concentration as the mares were so lovely to watch. Especially Osla. She is .... well, she is as they say here: "badda boom!"

I After much talking and pleasantries I was invited to see the "yard" in the afternoon. I couldn't imagine that it would be much of a yard as Brooklyn is a city of concrete, but I was shocked to find that it was a real yard. I had Jenn take a picture of me running wildly. Look at all that grass!!!! So much grass! AS far as my eyes could see there was grass! I rolled and ran and munched on sweet Brooklyn grass. Some of which has Kentucky blue grass mixed in. The air was crisp but not too cold and the sun was blissful. Jenn mentioned taking a walk to Coney Island to see the beach and the famous Cyclone roller coaster but I was so content J t doing horsie things that we stayed right in that yard all afternoon. You wouldn't believe me if I told you, but they have a fish pond in the yard too! Look at all those Koi. I cant believe this is Brooklyn, NYC!
