There seemed to be a slight disagreement going on, I didn't really listen as it
was none of my business, but he kept repeating the phrase "no more
cats". We went back to the house and I ate an entire mango. It was so good
I couldn't stop till I was full. The little kitten drank some milk and went
straight to sleep next to the rabbit, both of them are very friendly and very
tiny. All of the other cats are very upset with my host right now, they don't
seem to like the idea of the kitten very much!
Today we went "Croc Huntin".... We went all the way out to the
Everglades National Park to go see some baby alligators! Normally people aren't
allowed to pick them up, but my host's husband works there so it was ok for us.
I was very scared when we first got out of the car, I honestly thought I was
going to see the inside of an alligator first hand! My host told me that we'd be
ok because it was cool outside, alligators need the warmth of the sun to be
really active and as long as we didn't run into a protective mother we'd be
fine! I met Mama Gator who was huge! She lives in a large pool where some
Florida Panthers are supposed sleep near. She watched us from the pool, I didn't
want to get too close but my host's husband went to look for some baby gators.
We spent most of the morning moving the babies to deeper water where they'd be
safe, I was so tired and very hungry after all that! My host took us out to eat
at a place called Ruby Tuesdays where they have an amazing salad bar! I ate four
plates of carrots!
I heard from my host that I'm going to visit Arkansas next ! I can't wait to see
my new host family. I think I've put on several pounds since I've been in Miami.
I've certainly had a wonderful time here, basking in the sun and eating fresh
fruit in a patio chair! The alligators were a little scary; I think I'll leave
